In which I pretend I'm more than another mooing meat sack.

The Somatic DAW is a wearable entrainment system that uses music to walk a dysregulated nervous system back to its own baseline.

Existing wearables record and diagnose stress; this one intervenes in real time. By translating the current nervous system state to a musical frequency, custom mixes can be produced on the fly to give a new state for the nervous system to match.

It uses music specifically because songwriters don't edit their vulnerability the way clinicians must. Music is infused with amped up emotion and human connection that therapy can't indulge. This system is designed with sovereignty in mind. The map stays with the user. The facilitator is a passenger.

This is speculative design. Maybe 60% contested science, 20% poetry, 10% misunderstood concepts, 10% good actionable ideas. Help me prove which is which.
